About Focus Test

Selective attention test — letters flash on screen one at a time and you must tap only when you see the target letter "A". Three modes: 30-Second Challenge (speed increases), Focus Training (slow pace), and Distraction Mode (visual noise). Results include a Focus Score, hit rate, miss count, and false alarms.

  3. 3Letters flash one at a time. Tap ONLY when you see "A".

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Focus Test measure?
The Focus Test measures selective attention — your ability to respond to a specific target (the letter A) while ignoring distractors. It also measures sustained attention over 30 seconds and inhibitory control (avoiding false alarms).
What is a good Focus Score?
A score of 75%+ is considered good. 90%+ is excellent (Laser Focus). The score is calculated from your hit rate minus a penalty for false alarms.
What are false alarms?
A false alarm is when you tap for a non-target letter (any letter other than A). False alarms indicate impulsivity and reduce your Focus Score.
What is Distraction Mode?
In Distraction Mode, animated letters float in the background to make it harder to focus on the central letter. This tests your ability to filter out irrelevant information.
Can I use this to test for ADHD?
No. This is an educational and entertainment tool, not a clinical diagnostic. If you have concerns about attention or focus, consult a healthcare professional.
