Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Digit Span Test?
The Digit Span Test is a classic psychology test where you must recall a sequence of numbers in the correct order. It directly measures verbal working memory capacity. The average adult can hold 7±2 digits.
What is the Visual Memory mode?
Visual Memory shows a grid of highlighted squares that you must reproduce from memory. It tests spatial working memory, which is a separate cognitive system from verbal memory.
What is Word Memory mode?
You are shown a list of words for a limited time, then must select them from a larger set. This tests declarative short-term memory and is used in clinical memory assessments.
What is a good memory span?
The average adult Digit Span is 7±2 (5–9 items). A span of 9+ is considered excellent. Visual Memory and Word Memory scores vary by sequence length.
Does this test diagnose memory problems?
No. This is an educational and training tool, not a clinical diagnostic. If you have concerns about your memory, consult a healthcare professional.
How does Daily Training work?
Complete at least one test per day to maintain your daily streak. Your personal bests for each mode are saved locally in your browser.
